The Internet Can’t Decide If It Loves or Hates New ‘Jeopardy!’ Darling Buzzy Cohen

When generating a lot of buzz, it helps if your name is Buzzy. Jeopardy! fans have a new fascination, and his name is Buzzy Cohen. The eight-day champion has amassed more than $140,000 in winnings, but that’s not why he’s getting so much attention. Cohen’s overall demeanor can be described as confident, bordering on arrogance. After locking up victories before “Final Jeopardy” on Monday and Tuesday, Cohen gave the answers “see you tomorrow, Trebek” and “you aren’t rid of me yet, Trebek” as a smug affirmation of his own dominance.

Cohen’s confidence and his expert trolling of Jeopardy! host Alex Trebek have caused quite the stir. People seem to either love or hate the Los Angeles music executive, and one of those haters might be Trebek. “If the game is a runaway for our champion, Buzzy Cohen, and he does not know the correct response in ‘Final Jeopardy,’ he will continue coming up with those pithy little putdowns of Yours Truly,” said Trebek, joking. “So, Ted and Sarah, I urge you, make this a competitive game all the way to the end so that I no longer have to suffer, OK?”

Cohen will continue to put his skills to the test. He still needs several more victories to eclipse the most recent Jeopardy! fan favorite, Matt Jackson, and he is well behind Jeopardy! legend Ken Jennings. Regardless, everyone is excited to see how far this guy goes.
