The iPhone’s most annoying problem will be fixed in Apple’s iOS 9 update

Anyone who owns an iPhone looks forward to a major iOS update - but it always comes with one massive problem.

Yep, the dreaded ‘not enough storage’ warning message when you try and install the latest operating system is almost enough to send you running to Android.

You’re left with the option of either putting up with an old OS or making some harsh decisions about what apps to delete or what treasured videos you can bare to never see again.

All this to free up just the right amount of space to have an up-to-date iPhone.

But that looks set to change as a teenage app developer who is Beta testing iOS 9 has revealed that Apple has come up with a work around:

You read that right - your iPhone will now temporarily delete apps to free up space for the upgrade - then reinstall them right after.

Better yet, all personal data related to the apps will be kept in tact, meaning you won’t have to go through tedious registrations or log-ins again.

The iPhone and iPad’s newest update is set to be smaller than previous ones, with just 1.3 GB of space needed - a massive drop from the 5.75GB needed for iOS 8.

Hopefully it won’t take several hours to download on launch day like last time, too…
