‘The Voice’ Second Chance Contestant Gets Redemption

On The Voice, the second time was the charm for 35-year-old Nashville rocker Nolan Neal, as he was redeemed after failing to pass the blind auditions last year.

Fans may remember Neal’s story of his father’s suicide and that was not able to get any of the judges to turn their chairs around for his performance, although they all felt that he was good enough to return to the show.

This time around, Neal performed a rendition of Elton John’s “Tiny Dancer.” Blake Shelton and Adam Levine, after passing on Neal last year, were the first to buzz in early, with newbie judges Miley Cyrus and Alicia Keys following shortly after.

While all the judges were fighting to have Neal on their team, he cited Adam’s words last year as motivation to come back, and the rocker picked Levine to be his coach.

The Voice airs Monday and Tuesday nights at 8:00 p.m./7:00 p.m. CT on NBC. Watch clips and full episodes of The Voice for free on Yahoo View.
