Growing up, my mom was one of those people who firmly believed in multiple layers of clothing to stay warm throughout the winter. I’d often catch her in two, or even three layers, with a combination of tights, leggings and track pants on as a way to beat the chill.
Now I understand where she’s coming from, but in my experience, multiple layers just end up feeling bulky and excessively hot the longer you stay in them. Instead, I’d rather invest in insulating pieces that do the job better than heavy layers of clothing.
