More from TVLine
My dear friend of many years, actor Thom Christopher passed today. He was always a gentleman, always supportive, and he and his wife Judith who proceeded him in death, where [sic] always gracious to me and welcoming. Thom and I worked together on the ABC daytime series One Life to Live in the 1990s…. It was a wonderful time, difficult hours and long days, but joyful each minute. May Thom fly on Wings of Angels to be beside his beloved Judith, and may they enjoy each other’s company once again, beside the ‘Pearly Gates’ of heaven.
Christopher got his start in daytime TV on the CBS-turned-ABC soap The Edge of Night, on which he originated the role of Noel Douglas. Additional credits included Loving’s Dante Partou and Guiding Light’s Colonel Dax.
He’s most commonly associated with his role as OLTL mobster Carlo, which earned him a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 1992. The following year, he earned two nominations for Supporting Actor — for OLTL and Loving.
Additional TV credits included his turn as Hawk on Buck Rogers in the 25th Century, and episodes of Cannon, Hunter, Kojak, Law & Order (and spinoff Law & Order: Criminal Intent), Murder, She Wrote, Simon & Simon and T.J. Hooker. His final acting credit was the 2017 movie ADDicted.
