Three charged after woman shot in Anjou

Akim Pierre, 20, Thomson Tangly, 30 and Rubens Alexis, 22, were charged with discharging a firearm, armed assault and illegal gun possession in Montreal court Friday.

Police also seized two guns and a quantity of drugs believed to be crack cocaine, according to Montreal police Constable André Leclerc, who said the three suspects are "known to police."

The shooting took place Thursday morning at about 3:30 a.m. when one group opened fire on another group.

The 37-year-old woman was inside a vehicle when she was hit.

She suffered wounds to the upper body and was listed in stable condition in hospital following the shooting.
