Tignish Shore beach littered with garbage frustrates resident
A Tignish woman is fed up with people dumping garbage on the local beach.
Cindy Perry walks her dogs daily at Tignish Shore and says she is continuously picking up garbage.
Perry says she just completed a major clean up of the beach earlier this week only to discover more trash had been dumped. She says it looked like the contents of someone's freezer had been dumped, including Tupperware.
"There were bags of lobster, a shrimp, a bunch of stuff — there was a full turkey there," said Perry.
Perry says locals will be at the beach throughout Saturday to clean up the beach again.
She hopes people will start to realize what an impact the dumping has on the environment.
