Child’s disturbing costume sets the internet ablaze: 'She allowed this?'

You probably remember your favorite Halloween costume from your childhood … but what about your least favorite?

TikTok users are sharing not-so-glamorous costumes from years past, and though they miss the mark on execution, they’re hilarious.

User madrubin told her mom in fourth grade that she didn’t just want to be one of the Jonas Brothers for Halloween — she wanted to be all of them.

In the comments of the video, she admitted that she once direct messaged the band members a photo of her in costume. Sadly, it went unnoticed.

A different user, marleycathryn, shared video of herself dressed like Hamm, the piggy bank character from “Toy Story.”

“At least you stood out from the rest,” one commenter said.

“I bet you won best costume,” another wrote.

TikTok user add150nm3y3r shared what might have been the most disturbing makeshift costume of all.

She said she told her mom in preschool that she wanted to be E.T. for Halloween. When the costume came together, it was unconventional at best and disturbing at most.

The neck on the costume was so long, her mom had to cut eye holes in the neck of the mask. She zoomed in to show just how creepy it was.

“…and she allowed this out of the house?” one user responded.

“I just wanna thank your mom … she tried her best,” another commented.

None of these costumes are going to earn any major fashion awards, but they’re all unforgettable and viral, so who really wins here?
