Perry, 54, died Saturday at his home in Los Angeles, California. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner has not yet released Perry's cause of death. Perry was best known for playing Chandler Bing on "Friends."
"Friends" ran for 10 years with 236 total episodes, featuring Perry as a fan favorite. For years, tourists have flocked to the so-called "Friends" building, located in Manhattan's Greenwich Village. Though the sitcom was actually shot in a Los Angeles studio, the exterior of the Greenwich Village building was used as an establishing shot throughout the sitcom's 10 seasons.
Nicola Cardone, who recently visited the apartment, posted a video from outside the building that said it had "never felt so empty."
"This was not the edit I was planning," the caption says. "R.I.P Matthew."
Police sources say they found Perry unresponsive in his hot tub at around 4 p.m. on Saturday, according to the Los Angeles Times.
