Tim Bosma murder trial date tentatively set for fall 2015

A tentative trial date has been set for fall 2015 for the two men accused of Tim Bosma's murder, according to the Hamilton Spectator.

The trial for Mark Smich and Dellen Millard has been tentatively set to start on Sept. 28, 2015 and will run into 2016, the Spectator reported.

Bosma, 32, of Ancaster Ont., never returned from a test drive on May 6, 2013 after trying to sell his truck online. His remains were found a week later on Millard's family farm near Waterloo.

Millard, of Etobicoke, and Smich, of Oakville have been charged with first-degree murder in Bosma's death.

Millard's then-girlfriend, Christina Noudga, is charged with accessory after the fact. The 22-year-old was arrested in April and has been released on $100,000 bail in August.

Millard and Smich have been in police custody since May 2013 and remain in separate jails leading up to the trial.

Since then, Millard has also been charged in the murders of both his father, Wayne Millard, and missing Torontonian Laura Babcock. The elder Millard's death was originally ruled a suicide. Babcock, 23, went missing in the summer of 2012.

The court will confirm the dates for the Bosma murder trial on Jan. 23, 2015, the Spectator reported.
