Timberlea man accused of making, sharing child porn images

Ottawa spends millions on artificial intelligence to battle child pornography

RCMP Cpl. Dal Hutchinson told CBC News the alleged victim is from the Halifax area. He said the accused did not have access to other children with disabilities. 

The 34-year-old Timberlea man was in court Friday to face charges of:

- making child pornography

- possessing child pornography

- making available child pornography

- sexual assault

- sexual interference

- sexual exploitation of a person with a disability

- unsafe storage of a firearm

The man will remain in custody until a court appearance scheduled for Wednesday afternoon. 

Police searched a residence and arrested a suspect.
