It’s Time To Normalize Genital Exploration In Children: Maya’s Amma, Sex Educator

A child touching his or her private parts is instantly met with either looks of disgust, embarrassment or reproval. Genital play is a part of normal childhood development, says Swati Jagdish aka Maya’s Amma, an Instagram influencer and sex educator. While it starts as early as one year and can continue upto age eight, instead of reprimanding the child for it, parents need to teach them about privacy and private space.

In this video, Maya’s Amma normalizes sexual behavior in children and urges parents to study the basics of child development.
