Tom Brady jokes to Eli Manning: 'I wish you hadn't won any Super Bowls'

Tom Brady is inarguably the greatest quarterback of all-time and with six Super Bowls to his name, the New England Patriots’ star can rest easily knowing his legacy was cemented ages ago.

Brady still has some regrets though, with Eli Manning provided two crucial blows to an otherwise virtually unblemished career. Manning knocked the 2007 Patriots, who were previously undefeated entering Super Bowl XLII. During this game, Manning made the most iconic play of his career, escaping pressure during a crucial fourth-quarter drive and lobbed a pass downfield to David Tyree in a play that has since been immortalized as “The Helmet Catch” and the Giants emerged with a 17-14 victory.

Manning knocked off Brady and the Patriots again in 2011, hoisting the Lombardi Trophy with a 21-17 win.

Brady atypically showed some good humor on Friday as Manning announced his retirement after 16 seasons.

I, for one, can’t imagine a world in which Brady has an astonishing eight Super Bowl rings and Manning’s place in history is safe, if only for this reason, let alone his four Pro Bowl selections and countless Giants franchise records.
