Tom Brady Rents Derek Jeter’s Sprawling Tampa Bay Mansion

It’s only been a matter of weeks since Tom Brady officially signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but the NFL superstar is already making moves to get ready for his new gig. The former New England Patriots quarterback recently signed a lease to rent fellow star athlete Derek Jeter’s home on Tampa Bay’s exclusive Davis Islands, the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Though the actual amount that Brady will be paying Jeter each month to rent his 30,000-square-foot mansion is unconfirmed, the Times estimates it is likely at least $75,000 a month, given the rates at similar-sized rental properties in the area. Brady’s new home features seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, with an entertainment room and a billiards room that wraps around a waterside swimming pool. A small dock with two boat lifts provides easy access to the clear waters of Tampa Bay. Photos of the home’s interiors aren’t readily available, but images of the exterior reveal a sleek gray-brick front and spacious motor court.

Jeter originally purchased the property in 2010 and had the English-style mansion built to order. The baseball player lived there for several years, but moved into a 19th-floor apartment in a brand-new apartment complex just outside downtown Miami in 2017, the same year he took over as the chief executive officer and part-owner of the Miami Marlins.

Brady and his wife, model Gisele Bündchen, still maintain a number of homes throughout the country, including a luxury condo in Tribeca that they bought in 2018. The power couple listed their Massachusetts mansion for $39.5 million last summer and lowered their asking price to $33.9 million earlier this year, according to the Los Angeles Times.
