Tommy Fury brushes off Jake Paul stealing baby news as he vows to win fight

Watch: 'Jake Paul's mouth can't save him': Tommy Fury says YouTuber has no chance of winning their fight

Tommy Fury has shrugged off YouTuber Jake Paul apparently announcing the birth of his daughter, saying: "Nothing's ever true unless you hear it from me and Molly."

Boxer and former Love Islander Fury recently welcomed his first child with partner Molly-Mae Hague, who he met on the ITV2 dating show, a baby girl called Bambi.

The proud new parents had waited until Bambi was a week old to share the news publicly, but Paul, who Fury is due to fight, appeared to steal the moment by announcing her birth before Fury and Hague did as part of his pre-fight trash talking.

Paul tweeted: "Tommy has no excuses now…Baby’s born. Money’s massive. Immigration no issue. Tyson promises he & Papa will make Tommy retire from boxing & change his last name if he can’t beat the YouTuber.

"Tmw I’m coming to London to look at all 3 Fury’s in the eye & shake on that promise."

But speaking to Piers Morgan for his TalkTV show Uncensored, Fury was not rattled by the move.

As Morgan asked him about the baby news controversy, he said: "At the end of the day, all Jake Paul can do from wherever he is in this world is speculate, and that's all that was, speculation, nothing's ever true unless you hear it from me and Molly."

On the trash talk, he added: "It's part and parcel, you know, it is what it is. It's stuff that we have to do. It's called the entertainment business - that's the game that we are in and me and Jake Paul are great dance partners, and I've enjoyed the buildup so far.

"It’s going to get a lot more heated and I can't wait but the real work starts when we get inside them ropes and social media can't save Jake Paul, his mouth can't save him, it comes down to fighting, and I'm a lot better at doing that than him."

Fury vowed that he would "knock him out", predicting that the fight "will not go any more than four rounds".

Morgan also asked him whether he had ever fought his older brother Tyson Fury, a two-time world heavyweight champion.

He said: "I've had many fights with Tyse in the gym, yes, but I can't reach his head so I’ll just take his hips. That’s where I’m on line with.

"At the end of the day, if I steal his breakfast, he might hit me with a few good right hands and wobble me up a bit but that's not happened so far, I’m a bit wiser than that."

Piers Morgan Uncensored airs on weekdays at 8pm on TalkTV.
