Top 10 moments from #RBCsportsday in Canada

The 6th annual #RBCsportsday event had Canadians moving.

It also had them Tweeting as #RBCsportsday was trending Canada-wide for most of the day.

Canadians could sign up and host their own #RBCsportsday event, as well as participate in ones that were already happening; and participate you did.

Here are some of the top moments from a day that was full of fun, new, challenging and experiential moments.

1. When Olympic figure skater Patrick Chan passed on his knowledge to young skaters during our live broadcast from the Richmond Oval.

2. When Minister of Sport and Persons with Disability Carla Qualtrough tweeted a pic of her son trying simulated ski jump.

3. When this young 'baller' got a bit of a pick me up from some great coaches.

4. When a future track star had the opportunity to give pole vault a try; a sport that isn't the easiest to just start due to equipment and (gulp) heights.

5. When Jordan Quan showed off his mad skills in Markham.

6. When Olympic swimmer Ryan Cochrane was in shock and awe over the feats of fellow athletes. We're sure they would think the same of some things you've done, Ryan!

7. When two time Olympic speed skater Catriona LeMay Doan showed us how she spent her #RBCsportsday.

8. When one of our #RBCsportsday partners, Teslin Recreation in Yukon, showed us it's never too cold to have an outdoor potato sack race.

9. When Manitoba Baton made us dizzy with all that twirling!

10. When retired 8X National Canadian boxing champion Ibrahim Kamal trained these young powerhouses.

Okay, one more for good luck!

When Canada's darlings Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir stopped by the Road to the Olympic Games set and took over our Snapchat.
