Toronto's Pearson International Airport launches Uber Eats

There’s a new way to grab a bite before you fly out of Toronto Pearson International airport.

Domestic and international travellers in Terminal 3 can now order Uber Eats to the gate before a flight.

The pilot program is a partnership between the airport, Uber Eats and HMSHost restaurants and allows individuals at the airport to order food to the gate through the popular food delivery app.

"Uber Eats' partnership with Toronto Pearson is a perfect example of how our platform is creating unique experiences in unexpected places, beyond rides," Marcus Womack, Head of Global Airport Products at Uber said in a release.

According to the Greater Toronto Airport Authority, this partnerships is focused on restaurants currently located at Terminal 3. Travellers can order from Caplansky's Deli, Paramount Fine Foods, Smoke's Burritorie, Smashburger and Fionn MacCools.

"We are very excited about partnering with Toronto Pearson and Uber Eats to expand the amenities we offer and to providing passengers with an elevated guest experience through delivery service,” Neil Thompson, Vice President of Operations, HMSHost stated.

The Toronto Pearson airport and Uber Eats pilot program is scheduled to run to the third quarter of 2019, and is available at gates B22–B41 and C30–C36 in Terminal 3.
