Toronto Daystarter: Monday, April 27, 2015

Here's what you need to know on Monday, April 27.

No wind chill

It's cloudy with a high of 13 today. There's a 30 per cent chance of showers this morning and this afternoon. Notably, there's no wind chill today.

New Union

If you're commuting through Union station this morning you'll discover the GO Transit concourse is open today.

It has 50 per cent more space than the old one with new staircases and elevators, a new customer service counter and more departure boards.

College reopens

The intersection of College Street and Spadina Avenue reopens this morning.

The city and the TTC closed that intersection for three weeks to upgrade roads and streetcar infrastructure.

College streetcars are back up and running, however the Spadina 510 streetcars will return on May 10. Until then, buses will continue to run along that route.

Goodbye, Raptors

After a season that saw the Toronto Raptors win a record number of games, Canada's only professional basketball team took an early exit from the NBA playoffs. The Raps were swept in four games by the Washington Wizards.

And Wizards forward and Toronto agitator Paul Pierce is very proud of that.
