Transit

Danforth Avenue remains closed from Coxwell Avenue to Monarch Park as police investigate a shooting that left one man dead.

There is news for passengers who use the elevator connecting the GO Concourse and VIA Concourse. Effective today, the elevator is out of service. For those who use this elevator to access platforms, they can do so directly from the newly opened York Concourse or by using a new ramp near McDonald's, in the GO Concourse, which will lead to the VIA Concourse.

Toronto Pearson airport and Billy Bishop airport downtown are reporting that air traffic is moving on time.

Teachers' strike

The Ontario's Labour Relations Board resumes its hearing on an application that began last Thursday from three school boards asking for high school teacher strikes to be declared illegal.

More than 70,000 students have been out of class for weeks and the school boards in Durham Region, Rainbow District, which includes the Sudbury area, and Peel Region say the strikes are unlawful.

Hydro One

The Public Power Coalition is organizing a town hall meeting, opposing the sale of Hydro One. It starts at 6:30 p.m. at the Jubilee Pavilion on Lakeview Park Avenue in Oshawa.

Last-minute Prince

Prince is set to play two shows tonight at the Sony Centre for the Performing Arts. Fans learned of the last-minute gigs just three days ago, with tickets going on sale yesterday.

Police body cameras

About 100 Toronto police officers will now be wearing body cameras as part of a pilot project. Toronto criminal lawyer Daniel Brown will talk to CBC Radio's Metro Morning about the year-long project.

Breast cancer risk

Medical experts will be at the Toronto Reference Library to talk about genetic research into breast cancer, covering risk reduction and assessment.

The event, called High Risk Forum, runs from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., and is free. It's focused on bringing together women who are at an elevated risk for breast cancer. There will also be a screening of Jessica Edwards' documentary High Risk.
