Toronto police officer Const. Andrew Hong killed after shootings in 2 Ontario cities

At a news conference on Monday, Toronto Police Chief James Ramer identified the police officer who was fatally shot at a shooting in Mississauga, Ont. as 48-year-old Const. Andrew Hong of traffic services. According to Peel Regional Police Chief Nishan Duraiappah, Hong was shot in an “unprovoked” and “ambushed” attack while he was on a lunch break from a joint police training exercise, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
