Woman seriously injured in North York shooting

At least two people have been taken to hospital, one in serious condition, following a shooting that happened during a robbery in an industrial area in North York.

Toronto police say they received a call at around 10:30 a.m. about reports of a shooting at a moving company's office in the area of Alness Street and Magnetic Drive.

Police are looking for two suspects who may have run away from the scene, according to Chief Mark Saunders. It's believed the shooting was targeted.

Saunders said one woman was rushed to hospital in serious condition with gunshot wounds, and a man was also taken to hospital with gunshot wounds, but the extent of his injuries was unknown.

A third person was also treated for an anxiety attack, he said.

"We're aggressively investigating this," Saunders said at the scene.

"We're canvassing the area. After that is done we're going to see what we can do to identify the suspects."

The area has been cordoned off with police tape as officers continue their investigation.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact police.
