Toronto rally urges Canada to immediately take in more refugees

Hundreds of demonstrators rallied in downtown on Friday evening, voicing their support for refugees hoping to make it to Canada.

The march began at Yonge-Dundas Square and included a sit-in, blocking traffic for about an hour.

The large crowd called on Canada to accept more refugees – immediately.

The march was organized by the advocacy group No One is Illegal.

The group says Canada is not doing enough to accommodate refugees, not just from Syria but the whole world.
