It is one sport where physical distancing is an inherent part of the game.

On the tennis courts you’re outdoors, a good distance away from all other players, and there is no physical contact at all.

It’s a sport that provides good exercise while honing your skills in the game and maintaining good coordination for the whole body.

The Tottenham Tennis Club has announced they are going ahead with on-line registration for the coming season for les-sons, camps, and club memberships.

However, due to restrictions, class sizes will be smaller this year so if you plan on taking part you should register early to get your spot.

The Club is a community and volunteer-run organization focused on “enhancing the wellbeing and fitness of all age groups with affordable, fi rst class tennis skills development, recreational and competitive tennis in a welcoming social environment.’

New members are welcome at the Club.

While the Club is now taking registration, it notes that it cannot guarantee lesson and camps will take place as planned.

Executive are actively responding to the restrictions as they evolve and adjusting accordingly.

Plans are to commence spring programs as soon as the current four-week “stay-at-home” order is lifted. If further restrictions impede that plan, they will be providing refunds at the end of the spring session for any classes not permitted due to COVID-19 restrictions.

They plan on doing the same for summer sessions if July camps are not allowed.

You may purchase Club memberships immediately and have access to the courts, but under current conditions you will be limited to playing only with members of your own household.

Anyone using the Tottenham Tennis Club courts must be a member of the Club. You can now register on-line for member-ships, camps, and lessons.
