Tracee Ellis Ross is never one to hide her excitement over celebratory life achievements—and meeting Brad Pitt at an Oscars after-party was no exception.

Ross recapped her exhilaration over the unexpected meeting in a hilarious Instagram post.

"Throwback to the time I saw Brad Pitt. And he saw me," she wrote in the caption. "I think."

The accompanying clip showcased Ross retelling the chance encounter with the Oscar-winning actor. Ross is a Golden Globe-winning actress after all, so the performance was—expectedly—superb.

"I saw Brad Pitt! I looked in his eyes! He didn't look at me but—" exclaimed Ross before bursting into the chorus of her mother Diana Ross's 1970 hit song "Ain't No Mountain High Enough." Ross's reaction to meeting the Once Upon a Time ... in Hollywood star was cool, calm, and collected. However, if we were to envision how we would’ve responded to brushing shoulders with the longtime heartthrob, someone would probably have to call security.

In the clip, Ross was still in full glam—presumably fresh from leaving the Vanity Fair Oscars after-party—and wore a lustrous, gold Zuhair Murad Couture gown. The Black-ish actress completely shut down the red carpet with the show-stopping look, complete with a plunging neckline, padded shoulders, flowing cape, and a sexy, cutout open back.

There's no word yet on Pitt's thoughts on the meeting or Ross' reaction—but we do know, based on the actor's sweet but self-deprecating winning speeches this awards season, that the actor is very much single.
