Tracy mayor alleges corruption on city council, will hold rally before special meeting
Tracy Mayor Nancy Young will join other members of the Democratic Club to rally before a special city council meeting on Tuesday against what she alleges is corruption among three city council members. Young claims that the council members are attempting a coup to fire the Black city manager. The rally opposes a proposed change to voting rules within the council. The agenda states it would allow the city manager to be removed by a simple majority, meaning three council members in agreement instead of four. KCRA 3's Leticia Ordaz reports.
