The Traitors announces exciting new spin-off
The Traitors has announced an exciting new spin-off, with an Indian version of the show set to air next year.
The popular reality show sees a group of players partake in a series of challenges to raise a cash prize, with three individuals – dubbed ‘Traitors’ – attempting to evade the suspicion of the rest of the group, called ‘Faithfuls’.
After two hugely successful seasons in the UK - which were hosted by Claudia Winkleman - and various international spin-offs, a new version has now been announced, with Karan Johar set to host the Indian adaptation of the show.

“Vying for the grand cash prize, 20 players will compete in the ultimate game of trust and deception, to unmask the traitors from amongst them,” reads the logline for the show, which is said to be set inside a royal palace.
“Unscripted content continues to be a key focus for us at Prime Video, as we have witnessed an exponential growth in the consumption, attention, and appreciation for our unscripted Original library,” said Nikhil Madhok, Head of Originals for Prime Video in India.
“In our journey of introducing highly compelling and bingeable unscripted content, The Traitors marks a significant milestone for Prime Video. It is a unique reality format that has enthralled a global audience in various regions and languages.
“An exciting show like this requires an equally exciting host. We are thrilled to have Karan Johar host and commandeer the show. Who better than him to amp up the drama and entertainment!” they continued, with Sabrina Duguet, EVP APAC at All3Media International, also sharing a statement.

The Traitors India will stream on Prime Video in 2025. The Traitors series 1-2 are streaming on BBC iPlayer. Two more series and a celebrity spin-off have already been confirmed.
