Trial begins for Maryland doctors accused of spying for Russia
Tuesday was day one of the federal criminal trial for two Maryland doctors accused of sharing protected medical information with Russia. Dr. Anna Gabrielian and her husband, Jamie Lee Henry, both of Rockville, were indicted in September 2022 on allegations they illegally shared private information with the Russian government. Gabrielian is an anesthesiologist at Johns Hopkins Medicine and Henry is an Army major with secret security clearance who worked at Fort Bragg and Walter Reed Hospital.
