Tropical Storm Joyce weakening in Atlantic

Tropical Storm Joyce formed in the eastern tropical Atlantic on Friday several hundred miles west of the Cabo Verde Islands.

This tropical storm comes as the National Hurricane Center (NHC) continues to track Hurricane Isaac and multiple other areas to watch in the Atlantic. Joyce became the 10th named storm of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season.

Tropical Storm Joyce is spinning over the open waters of the tropical Atlantic Ocean and is not a threat to land.

According to the NHC, Tropical Storm Joyce is forecast to move northwest and decrease in its forward speed before dissipating.
