Trudeau to Premier Ford: reopening the constitution not ‘top of mind’ for Canadians

Justin Trudeau responded Monday to Ontario Premier Doug Ford’s criticism that the prime minister is being “selective” in criticizing his use of the notwithstanding clause and his invitation to sit down with premiers and “have a conversation about the constitution.” Trudeau said reopening the constitution is not “top of mind” for Canadians amid other pressing issues like climate change, job security and the rising cost of living.
