Trudeau says governments, society have 'roles to play' in combatting Islamophobia and discrimination

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau told those attending a national summit on Islamophobia on Thursday that governments, institution, workplaces and society all have "roles to play" in combatting Islamophobia and other forms of discrimination. He spoke about the rise of anti-Muslim attacks in recent months, as well as against many other minority groups, saying hate "cannot creep into the mainstream" if they collectively speak against it.
