Trump Sets NBC News ‘Meet the Press’ Interview With Kristen Welker

Donald Trump has set his first network interview since winning the 2024 election. “Meet the Press” moderator Kristen Welker will sit down with the president-elect in an episode of of the NBC News series scheduled to air on Dec. 8.

This will not be Welker’s first conversation with Trump. She most recently interviewed him for NBC News in September 2023, marking his only network sit-down during the 2024 campaign cycle. Additionally, she moderated Trump’s October 2020 debate with Joe Biden before the current president won the election the following month.

Welker’s interview with Trump will be taped on Dec. 6, and highlights will be released across NBC News, NBC News Now and NBCNews.com in advance of the Sunday airing.

“Meet the Press with Kristen Welker” is consistently a high performer in the public affairs category — No. 1 among adults age 25-54 on Dec. 1 for the third week in a row. Compared to “This Week” on ABC, “Meet the Press” has won for six weeks in a row.
