Trump tells rallygoers to 'get ready to work' and 'fight' to 'take back our country' in 2024
  • Former President Donald Trump once again claimed he'd win the presidential election in 2024.

  • Trump has not announced an official bid for the 2024 presidential election.

  • But he's alluded to entering the race, and winning, several times.

Former President Donald Trump on Saturday told thousands of rallygoers that he'd end up back in the White House in 2024.

"Get ready to work, get ready to fight, get ready to win and win like never before," Trump said during an event in Austin hosted by the American Freedom Tour. "We will take back the House, we will take back the Senate and we will take back our country."

Trump has not yet announced a 2024 presidential bid but has signaled a potential run. After losing the 2020 presidential election to Joe Biden, the former president began hosting a series of rallies that have served as a barometer of his popularity among conservatives and could help him maintain momentum for a potential campaign bid.

Since losing, Trump has said at various times that he expects to win in 2024 should he run in the next presidential election. Saturday's rally marked only the latest time that he made such a claim.

During an American Freedom Tour in March, for example, Trump promised to return to the White House in 2024.

"With the support of everyone in this room, we will take back the House, we will take back the Senate and we will take back our country, and then most importantly in 2024, we are going to take back our beautiful White House," he said, addressing a crowd of rallygoers in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

To attend American Freedom Tour events in person with Trump, rallygoers can pay up to thousands of dollars. It can cost more than $4,995 for a chance to see him deliver a speech at one of these rallies hosted by the American Freedom Tour.

Saturday's rally was attended by 8,000 people, according to The Austin American-Statesman. Trump gave a speech that lasted more than an hour, and in attendance with him were former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Donald Trump, Jr., and former campaign aide Kimberly Guilfoyle.
