TSX falls 0.16 percent

NEW YORK (Reuters) - The Toronto Stock Exchange's S&P/TSX fell 24.62 points, or 0.16 percent, to 15,131.78. Leading the index were Badger Daylighting Ltd , up 10.4 percent, Lundin Mining Corp , up 4.7 percent, and TFI International Inc , higher by 4.2 percent. Lagging shares were Premium Brands Holdings Corp , down 16.1 percent, CES Energy Solutions Corp, down 10.3 percent, and Baytex Energy Corp, lower by 10.0 percent. On the TSX 95 issues rose and 147 fell as a 0.6-to-1 ratio favored decliners. There were 3 new highs and 37 new lows, with total volume of 298.9 million shares. The most heavily traded shares by volume were Bombardier Inc , Aurora Cannabis Inc and Trican Well Service Ltd. The TSX's energy group fell 4.60 points, or 2.83 percent, while the financials sector climbed 1.57 points, or 0.54 percent. West Texas Intermediate crude futures fell 7.86 percent, or $4.71, to $55.22 a barrel. Brent crude fell 7.1 percent, or $4.98, to $65.14 The TSX is off 6.6 percent for the year.
