Tumwater police looking for bank robbery suspect

Tumwater police are looking for a bank robbery suspect who robbed a bank late Thursday.

Just before 5 p.m., the man, wearing a mask, gloves and a dirty cap, entered a Heritage Bank branch on Trosper Road, said Lt. Jen Kolb.

The suspect, who implied that he had a weapon by keeping his hands in his pockets, then ordered a bank teller to give him an undisclosed amount of cash. He was last seen headed north on a BMX-style bicycle, Kolb said.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call Tumwater police at 360-754-4200 or to reach them through the non-emergency dispatch line at 360-704-2740.
