Some rivalries have stood the test of time: Coke vs. Pepsi, Macs vs. PCs, Yankees vs. Red Sox — but these days there’s no rivalry greater than the one between fans and haters of pineapple on pizza.
Just recently, the president of Iceland said he would ban pineapple on pizza if he could, and that drew such of a negative and divisive response that he later issued an apology (of sorts) on Facebook.
And this week the pineapple on pizza debate flared up again when Twitter user, Ali posted a picture of an American $5 bill taped above a pizza inside a pizza box with a note saying, “Couldn’t bring myself to put pineapple on it. That’s gross. Sorry.”

The tweet drew enormous response on Twitter, with many taking a side on the debate.

While that might have the more moderate of us asking, “Can’t we all just get along?” we could probably all agree that nearly anything is better than a pizza with peas and mayo.
