Twin Brothers Accused of Sexually Abusing Children Over the Course of Years: Police

Twin brothers in Florida were arrested on accusations they sexually abused children.

Donald and Ronald Hawkins, both 67, were arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 14 after the Washington County Sheriff's Office said it received reports of the brothers abusing victims on multiple occasions over the course of several years.

Police did not provide details on the nature of the alleged abuse committed,

Donald Hawkins was arrested in Washington County and is being held on charges of sexual assault on a victim under the age of 12.

Ronald, who lives in Brevard County, was arrested there and is awaiting extradition to Washington County, where police say he will face charges of lewd and lascivious behavior on a victim less than 12 years old.

It is not clear if either brother has retained an attorney or entered a plea.
