Two arrested in Whitehorse Casa Loma Hotel robbery

Whitehorse RCMP say they've arrested two men in connection with a robbery at the CasaLoma Hotel.

Police say employees and patrons reported that on April 5, two people entered the Casa Loma bar. One wore a balaclava, the other wore an ATV helmet that was later found by police.

Police say the suspects approached the bartender demanding money from the cash register and then pushed the bartender to the ground.

Police say the suspects grabbed a handful of cash from the register before fleeing.

No weapons were used.

Police have charged 23-year-old Tyler Benson and 22-year-old Adam Cormack with two counts each of robbery and disguise with intent to commit a criminal offence.
