Two-car crash blocks Puyallup intersection in pouring rain Friday evening

A two-car collision blocked the intersection at 15th Street Southeast and East Main Avenue in Puyallup Friday evening, according to Central Pierce Fire & Rescue.

Pouring rain doused the scene in a video the fire department posted on X at 6:19 p.m. Minor injuries were reported, and the Puyallup Police Department is assisting with traffic control and investigating the incident, according to the post. The fire department advised people to avoid the area if possible.

Central Pierce Fire & Rescue spokesperson Michael Auvil told The News Tribune via text message Friday evening he believes the collision resulted in a minor wrist injury. He did not have further information about the investigation.
