Two men hospitalized after Monday shooting that involved drugs, Arlington police say

Two men were hospitalized after being shot Monday night, according to Arlington police.

At around 7:20 p.m. Monday, officers responded to the 500 block of Claire Court to investigate a reported shooting.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old man with gunshot wounds. Both men were in a vehicle that had multiple bullet holes, police say.

They were taken to a local hospital. The 20-year-old had non-life-threatening injuries and the 18-year-old is in critical condition, according to police.

Authorities believe the victims and another man were involved in high risk drug activity when the shooting occurred.

The shooter fired at the victims’ vehicle multiple times from the roadway, then ran from the scene, according to police.

No arrests have been made and detectives are working to identify the gunman, police say.
