Pembroke -- The Upper Ottawa Valley (UOV) detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has arrested and charged two more people in connection with the death of a Pembroke resident.
On May 27, police located a deceased male, identified as Justin Walker, 32, at a downtown apartment in the city. An investigation was commenced by the OPP Upper Ottawa Valley Crime Unit and OPP Forensic Identification Services, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB).
On June 2, officers arrested and charged Connor "Doc" Murdock, 18, from no fixed address, with possession of a loaded prohibited or restricted firearm, unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted firearm, possession of weapon for dangerous purpose, theft under $5,000, obstructing a Peace Office, possession of firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition order and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Also arrested and charged is Adonte Skinner, 24, of Ottawa, with possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, failure to comply with release order and three counts of possession of a schedule 1 substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Another individual from Pembroke was earlier charged with obstructing police and is now before the courts. The OPP investigation, in conjunction with the Office of the Chief Coroner for Ontario, is continuing.
