It looks like “Spicey” just gave Saturday Night Live some fresh material when he misspoke during a press briefing.

White House spokesman Sean Spicer was addressing the media Tuesday when he began reading off notes detailing U.S. President Donald Trump’s previous day spent with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. And that’s where everything went wrong.

“Yesterday, the president had an incredibly productive set of meetings and discussions with Prime Minister Joe Trudeau of Canada focusing on our shared commitment to close co-operation in addressing both the challenges facing our two countries and the problems throughout the world.”

It didn’t seem like Spicer realized he got Trudeau’s first name wrong as he continued to read his statement without pause or correction.

In Canada, people seemed to be more perplexed than offended by the blunder.

It’s not the first time a member of the Trump administration has been the subject of a major flub in front of the press.

Earlier this month, Kellyanne Conway appeared on MSNBC where she made reference to the “Bowling Green massacre,” which never happened.

The counsellor to the U.S. president later clarified her comments by saying she “meant to say ‘Bowling Green terrorists.'”

It’s unclear whether Spicer will publicly correct his mistake, but it’s safe to assume that Melissa McCarthy is watching the clip somewhere with a smile on her face.
