Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed 13 of Russia's 14 Shahed attack drones overnight on May 29, Ukrainian Air Force Commander, Mykola Oleschuk, reported on Telegram.

The drones were launched from Russia's Primorsko-Akhtarsk region.

Ukrainian air defense shot down the 13 drones over the Mykolaiv, Kirovohrad, and Rivne oblasts.

Ukraine deployed fighter jets, anti-aircraft missile units from the Air Force, mobile fire groups from the Defense Forces, and electronic warfare units to counter the aerial assault.

Air raid alerts were issued across several Ukrainian oblasts due to the launch of Russian drones overnight on May 29.

A factory in Russian Yelabuga, Tatarstan, Russia, plans to produce 6,000 Shahed-131/136 attack drones annually, in addition to reconnaissance drones, which could impact the course of Russia's war against Ukraine, The Wall Street Journal reported.
