Ukrainian Parliamentary Committee endorses martial law, mobilization extension vote

The Parliament Committee on National Security and Intelligence has endorsed bills to extend martial law and general mobilization for 90 days, MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak from the Holos faction reported on Telegram on May 7.

Martial law and mobilization are set to be extended until at least August 11.

Zheleznyak pointed out that Parliament is expected to vote on the extension of these laws during a meeting on May 8.

This marks the 11th decision on martial law and general mobilization since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted bills to extend martial law and mobilization to Parliament on May 6.
