Ukrenergo electricity generation facilities in central Ukraine hit in latest Russian attack

Ukrenergo facilities in central Ukraine were damaged in Russia's mass missile attack on Ukraine's energy infrastructure overnight on May 8, the company reported.

The attack damaged electricity generation facilities, the company said.

Ukrenergo workers began emergency recovery operations immediately after the air alert was canceled.

Russia hit energy infrastructure facilities in the Poltava, Kirovohrad, Zaporizhzhya, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Vinnytsia oblasts in its May 8 attack, Ukrenergo said.

Lviv Oblast was also included in this list by Energy Minister Herman Halushchenko.
