This Is Us star Mandy Moore pregnant with first child
This Is Us star Mandy Moore has announced she and her husband Taylor Goldsmith are expecting their first baby.
The actress, who stars in the hit drama series as Rebecca Pearson, shared the happy news on Thursday (September 24), revealing that she'll be having a boy.
Alongside a series of images of her growing baby bump, she wrote: "Baby Boy Goldsmith coming early 2021."
Moore and Goldsmith married in 2018 after dating each other for two years, and she's always been open about wanting children with him.
"He's going to be the most tremendous father," she previously told Glamour. "I view the past as a stepping-stone to get me where I am today. I would gladly weather all of that a million times over if it brought me to Taylor again."
In 2017, Moore spoke about her desire to become a mother while comparing herself to her This Is Us character Rebecca.
"I feel a kinship with her," she told E! News at the time. "I was most concerned about was feeling maternal, not having children myself. But being part of a project like this definitely makes my ovaries start kicking. I want kids sooner than later."
Season 5 of This Is Us has now officially started filming, with the NBC series set to return to screens on Tuesday, November 10.
Unlike many other shows, season four of This Is Us finished production before the coronavirus pandemic caused a widespread shutdown in the industry, meaning the season was able to end as the writers intended.

For season 5, we know that the show will address the pandemic "head on", with creator Dan Fogelman confirming the plotline last month.
This Is Us airs on NBC in the US, and on Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
