    Woman dead in Prince County highway crash

    A 45-year-old Prince County woman is dead following a single-vehicle highway accident Thursday, say P.E.I. RCMP.The accident happened around 4 p.m., according to an RCMP news release. The woman, who was driving the car, was travelling south on Route 12 northeast of Wellington when the car left the road.She was pronounced dead at the scene.Route 12 was closed for several hours but has since reopened. The investigation is continuing.
