James Corden's 'Late Late Show' race against Usain Bolt gets funny in a hurry
In one lane, we have Jamaican sprinter Usain Bolt — the fastest human to ever be recorded.
In the other, we have British host of The Late Late Show James Corden — "who spends the majority of his day sitting."
It's probably not much of a spoiler to tell you how this one ends, but the participation of the Late Late Show staff and a totally random appearance by Owen Wilson make for a highly entertaining — if predictable — competition.
But the real stars of this skit are the staff members: Brooke from accounting, we appreciate your dedication to athleticism and financial transactions.
It's the race of the moment, if not the century (or even the hour): Usain Bolt ("Fastest Man in the World") vs. James Corden ("Likes to Sit"). And the staff of Corden's Late Late Show. And, just in from Europe, Owen Wilson.
Corden's on a bit of a roll here, and we're not just talking about the spare tire around his British gut – there was also his recent turn as Arsenal manager/choreographer. About all it's missing is Bill Murray, but Wilson stands in as the celebrity version of Murray's average person.
