Victim unco-operative after targeted shooting Sunday night in Maple Ridge

MAPLE RIDGE, B.C. - A man is recovering from leg injuries after what RCMP in Maple Ridge, B.C., are calling a targeted shooting.

The attack happened just before 8 o'clock Sunday night in the suburb east of Vancouver.

Insp. Bryon Massie says the victim, in his 20s, is not known to police.

But Massie says the man is also refusing to co-operate with the investigation, complicating the search for suspects.

Although officers believe the victim was targeted, they say there's no evidence to show the attack is linked to gang violence.

No arrests have been made. (CKNW)
