Victoria Beckham On Meghan Markle’s Givenchy Dress

Days after attending the royal wedding, Victoria Beckham is giving her two cents on what she thought about her rumoured friend, Meghan Markle’s big day, and that stunning Givenchy dress.

‘It was such a beautiful, incredible wedding,’ the fashion designer gushed to the Evening Standard. ‘It was just the best day. They looked so happy, and everybody was just so happy for them. Meghan seems like a genuinely lovely woman, who really loves him. It felt very real, very honest.’

When it came to analysing the bride’s dress designed by Clare Waight Keller, Beckham said: ‘I thought she looked absolutely beautiful.

‘It really suited her. I thought it was perfect for her. And Harry looked great.’

Meanwhile, Reverand Michael Curry’s passionate sermon - which focussed on the power of love - left the former Spice Girl feeling inspired. ‘I thought what he said was very strong and optimistic. Very powerful,’ she revealed.

With an estimated on billion people tuning into watch the festivities - attended by the likes of Oprah Winfrey and Amal Clooney, you'd be forgiven for thinking Victoria and her husband, David Beckham, may have had the jitters about attending such a historic day. But the 43-year-old admitted she felt cool as a cucumber.

‘I wasn’t nervous, no,' she smiled. 'I was just really honoured to have been invited. I would have been nervous if it had been my day.'

The Beckhams’ attendance at Harry and Meghan’s nuptials came seven years after the pair were invited to Prince William and Kate Middleton’s at Westminster Abbey. However, the mother-of-four - who was seven-months pregnant with her daughter Harper at the 2011 wedding - revealed she was glad not to be carrying around a large bump this time round.

‘Quite honestly, it was such a relief not to be hugely pregnant at this royal wedding that it was a joy to be able to choose anything I wanted to wear,’ she continued.

Despite criticism of the star’s decision to wear yet another navy midi dress from her own label to a royal wedding, the entrepreneur said: ‘I love a bit of navy.’

‘The dress is one of my favourites: it isn’t in store until November, but we’ve had so many inquiries about it that I’m seeing whether I can bring it forward.’ (FYI, the dress with reportedly be available from July).

However, if you expected VB to shed light on reports thenewlyweds danced to Whitney Houston’s ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’, ate dirty burgers and cones of candy floss, think again.

‘I can’t say,’ she said, remaining schtum on exactly what happened behind closed doors at the rumoured raucous extravaganza.
