“Victorious” Creator Dan Schneider Is Parting Ways from Nickelodeon

He's also the man behind "iCarly."

The man behind Nickelodeon classics including iCarly and Victorious will no longer be working with the network.

Dan Schneider, who has worked with Nickelodeon for more than 20 years as in a variety of capacities including producing and being the showrunner for a number of titles, has reportedly parted ways with the network. In a joint statement obtained by People, both parties write: "Following many conversations together about next directions and future opportunities, Nickelodeon and our long-time creative partner Dan Schneider/Schneider’s Bakery have agreed to not extend the current deal. Since several Schneider’s Bakery projects are wrapping up, both sides agreed that this is a natural time for Nickelodeon and Schneider’s Bakery to pursue other opportunities and projects."

Dan has had a hand in bringing to life some truly iconic, evergreen Nickelodeon shows during his tenure at the network. He began at Nickelodeon in 1993, where he was both a writer and executive producer on the sketch show many older Millennials remember fondly, All That. From there, he created and worked on shows such as Drake & Josh, iCarly, The Amanda Show, Victorious, Sam & Cat, Good Burger, Zoey 101, and one of the network's current hits, Henry Danger. Basically, if there's a show that you've loved in the last two-plus decades on Nickelodeon, Dan has likely been a creative force behind it.

Last year, Ariana Grande had Victorious fans freaking out when she tweeted at Dan that the show needed a finale and tagged a bunch of her former castmates including Victoria Justice. He then responded, "You know I'M down."
